Founded in Chartham, Canterbury in 2007 Merging Arts is a group of 20 established local artists working across a wide range of media including: Ceramics, Paint, Textile, Photography, 3D and Recycled Materials

 Exhibiting annually and locally Merging Arts acknowledges its members roots in this Kentish community. As a group we are a member of Canterbury Arts Council.

 As part of the 2009 Canterbury Festival, Merging Arts held an innovative exhibition of contemporary art entitled ‘Impressions’, interpreted in a variety of media and showcasing the groups talents, at Chartham Village Hall on 17th and 18th October. In addition to the exhibition there were demonstrations of printmaking and using recycled materials for art on both days.

Several Members of Merging Arts also exhibited at The Art Trail and Exhibition, an Open Air Event in Perrywood Selling this year on 19th July, and at The Horsebridge Arts and Community Centre, Whitstable, Kent, from 5th to 18th August in an Exhibition entitled ‘On Reflection’
